Family Resource Center of Cass County
Organizational Overview

The Family Resource Center of Cass County envisions a community where barriers to food, healthcare, and stability no longer exist, and every family has the resources and support they need to live with dignity and opportunity.

The Family Resource Center of Cass County (FRCCC) is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and improving access to essential resources for individuals facing economic hardship. Through innovative programs and strong community partnerships, FRCCC works to remove barriers that prevent people from accessing food, healthcare connections, housing stability, and supportive services.

Founded on the belief that every neighbor deserves dignity and opportunity, FRCCC focuses on practical solutions that meet people where they are. The organization has developed several impactful initiatives designed to address the real challenges many families face, including food insecurity, transportation barriers, and difficulty navigating health and social service systems.

Bridge Over Troubled Water Mobile Food Pantry Bus travels directly into neighborhoods, rural communities, and low-income senior housing complexes to deliver groceries where they are needed most. By bringing food directly to community locations, the program removes transportation barriers that often prevent families and seniors from accessing assistance.

Resource One Health Connection, an initiative designed to help individuals navigate healthcare resources and connect with services that support overall wellbeing. The Resource One Health office in Peculiar serves as a community access point where individuals can receive assistance connecting to healthcare providers and other essential services.

FRCCC has expanded the reach of Resource One Health Connection by integrating care coordinators into mobile pantry stops, allowing families and seniors to access both food and healthcare navigation services in one convenient location. This integrated approach recognizes that food access and health access are deeply connected.

Through these programs, FRCCC is able to serve rural communities, low-income households, and vulnerable seniors who might otherwise face significant barriers to receiving support.
