For Kids to play, where caregivers connect

The Circle, Neurodiversity Play & Connection Center

At the Family Resource Center of Cass County (FRCCC), we believe strong families are the foundation of a strong community. The Circle: Neurodiversity Play & Connection Center is an extension of that belief, created to support autistic children and their families through connection, play, and belonging.

Families raising neurodivergent children in Cass County often experience isolation, limited access to inclusive spaces, and few opportunities for peer support close to home. The Circle was designed to meet that need in the same way FRCCC approaches all of its work: meeting families where they are, removing barriers, and leading with dignity.

The Circle provides a welcoming, sensory-friendly environment where autistic children can play freely and safely while parents and caregivers connect with others who understand their experiences. This is not a clinical or treatment setting. It is a community space rooted in trust, relationship-building, and family stability.

The Circle addresses another critical but often overlooked need: support for families navigating neurodiversity.

Just as FRCCC addresses food insecurity and access to care, The Circle addresses:

  • Social isolation among caregivers
  • Lack of inclusive, affordable play spaces
  • Gaps in peer support and resource navigation

Impact

  • Weekly play and connection opportunities for autistic children
  • Peer support and respite for parents and caregivers
  • A trusted access point for referrals and family resources
  • Strengthened family stability and community belonging
